The owners of Valletta’s popular “Black Bull” pub approached us with a bold request:

“We’re shifting gears — from casual pub to upscale steak lounge. It’s time to evolve.”

The goal was clear: transition from a loud, casual bar vibe to a refined, elegant dining experience that better matched the premium cuts they serve and the clientele they aim to attract.

✍️ The Strategy

Step 1: Rename with elegance.

We retained the core identity — Black Bull — but gave it an international, stylish twist:

TORO NERO, Italian for Black Bull. Instantly more refined, yet still rooted in strength.

Step 2: Create a visual identity that radiates class.

  • A bold, stylised bull horn emblem to anchor the brand
  • A sleek black and gold palette to express luxury and confidence
  • A modern, geometric font that balances masculinity and minimalism
  • A structured layout including “STEAK LOUNGE – VALLETTA” to establish place and purpose

🌆 The Result

The final logo and name work in perfect harmony — capturing the premium steakhouse feel while keeping a nod to the brand’s origins.

From menus to signage to digital presence, TORO NERO’s new identity offers sophistication without losing power — a brand that’s just as sharp as the steak knives on their tables.
